The nurse will be responsible for triaging patients, managing various emergencies, and performing essential nursing duties in accordance with established protocols.Shift DetailsShift: Nights (6:45 PM to 6:45 AM)Shift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekEvery other weekend schedule requiredFloating between sister facilities may be necessaryKey ResponsibilitiesTriage patients in the Emergency Room settingProvide comprehensive assessment and care for various health conditionsManage and monitor patients independentlyConduct Point of Care Lab functions as neededCollaborate with healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomesQualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room or similar environmentCurrent certifications: ACLS (AHA)BLS (AHA)PALSENPCTNCCNIHSSAbility to work holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas DayUnit InformationPatient to Nurse Ratio: 1:4Common patient diagnoses: chest pain, respiratory issues, dehydration, orthopedic conditions, strokes, lacerations, gastrointestinal problemsNo separate Triage area; nurses will triage their own patientsSecurity is not in-house; staff must manage safety independentlyNo transport for imaging (X-Ray, CT) within the ER unitAdditional InformationScrub Color/Dress Code: Navy scrubsOrientation: Two shifts of unit-specific orientation providedWeekend Requirements: Every other weekend or six weekend shifts in a 6-week periodHoliday Requirements: One summer and one winter holiday off
